Michael LitrelMichael Litrel, MD, FACOG

Dr. Litrel joined Dr. James Cross at Cherokee Women’s OB/GYN in 1997, and became CEO of the group in 2001. Dr. Litrel practices general and high risk obstetrics as well as gynecological surgery, and has extensive expertise in non-invasive laparoscopic and advanced pelvic reconstructive surgical techniques. He is on the clinical faculty at Emory University School of Medicine and Medical College of Georgia, and is notably active in his community, holding numerous leadership positions in the region.

Dr. Litrel is the author of The Eyes Don’t See, a book about the relationship between faith and health. He regularly publishes articles in the cutting edge arena of integrative health. His speaking engagements include audiences both layman and medical, with venues including the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Dr. Litrel lives in Woodstock with his wife Ann and their sons Tyler and Joseph. In addition to writing, his interests include reading, martial arts and golf.
