Jorge Lense, MD, FACOG

Dr. Lense joins Cherokee Women’s Health Specialists from an established career in private practice in central Florida, where he served on the faculty at Florida Hospital Residency Program. During his tenure, Dr. Lense did extensive additional training in minimally invasive surgery and pelvic reconstruction surgery, as well as ultrasonography.

Dr. Lense’s academic and professional career has been marked by a series of awards and honors. He has published numerous articles in medical literature and has given many presentations and lectures on a wide variety of gynecological and obstetrics topics at such venues as the World Congress of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Lense lives in Canton with his pediatrician wife Dr. Beverly Lense and their seven children (2 biological and 5 adopted). Dr. Lense enjoys drawing and painting and has published several of his medically related drawings. His philosophy of medicine is to be a patient advocate, to always do what is best for the patient and to educate patients in sound decision making.
