When you arrive for your first OB appointment, make sure you bring your insurance information, medical history, and identification. Before meeting your obstetrician or midwife, we’ll ask you to fill out paperwork detailing your medical history, any current medications, and other pertinent information. At the beginning of your appointment, the ultrasound technician will use a trans vaginal probe to get a first look at your baby. As the baby grows, we’ll be able to show you a clearer picture of your child. The initial ultrasound allows us to see how far along you are so we can determine your due date.
